Do you service
underground storage tanks in my area?
Tankmasters services the entire state of
Maryland with an emphasis on Baltimore
County. We have also performed professional
underground storage tank (UST) testing and
removal services on the Eastern Shore, in
Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., southern
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. If
you have any questions about whether we can
serve you, please
contact us.
How long will a tank
test take from the time I order until the
time I get my results?
As little as one day, but typically 2-3
days. We can usually accommodate almost any
type of timetable, depending on what our
customers needs are. Schedule a service
today.
How much does a tank
test cost?
For competitive reasons, Tankmasters can’t
post its prices online, but if you contact
us, we would be happy to provide a free
estimate. Our customers tell us that our
prices are reasonable and our contracts are
clear.
If I am selling my
home, am I legally required to have a test?
It is not legally required to have a tank
test performed in the state of Maryland if
you are selling a home. However, it is
increasingly the case that lenders are
requiring that USTs be tested, tying
mortgage financing to the tests. Plus it’s
just common sense that if you are purchasing
a home, you want to know exactly what it is
you are buying.
What should I be
looking for in an underground storage tank
service company?
How long have they been in business? Are
they fully licensed and certified? Do they
offer references, upon request? How quickly
can they get you accurate test results? Do
they work on both below and above-ground
systems? Do they offer any service
guarantees? What type of testing equipment
do they use? For a quick look at how
Tankmasters measures up, please read our Why
Tankmasters? page.
Should I remove my
tank or have an abandonment performed?
In order to determine if your tanks should
be removed or professionally abandoned, you
must consider where it is and what is
involved in removing it. Would removing it
cause structural damage to your home?
Abandonments are often the best approach,
and we have extensive experience in
abandonment procedures that meet the
strictest environmental standards.
Why should I hire
Tankmasters over other companies?
You should hire Tankmasters because we are
simply the best at what we do. From customer
service to the fastest turnaround times to
the cleanest job sites, nobody beats
Tankmasters.
What brand of tanks
do you install?
We typically install Highland tanks, but we
worked with (and are trained for) many
different makes and models of USTs.
What size and types
of tanks do you service?
There is almost no tank too small or too
large for us to work with, above or below
ground. We have seen them all and can
handle’em all, from standard 275-500 gallon
residential tanks, to as large as 15,000
gallon commercial tanks.
Does someone need
to be home when a service is conducted?
With your permission, we can service outdoor
tanks without you having to be there. For
services that require us to enter you home,
we ask that someone be at home to let us in.
How long does the
average tank test take?
It typically takes about an hour to properly
test a tank with results at completion of
the service. When necessary we provide
written results on the same day as the test.
